Notes

An experiment incorporating quick response codes into Sanquhar inspired gloves. The intention is reasonably clear but the bar code cannot be read with on line readers after photographing. I am not that hopeful after it being washed and blocked. Not to worry.

The pattern of the glove incorporates many of the traditional Sanquhar featured - 3 sided fingers, little gussets, 11 stitch square blocks, salt an pepper and customised wrist. The glove shape is much like a 1950’s vintage glove having a longer wrist than a modern glove. People I know really like this aspect so no point in adapting. The 29 by 29 stitch bar code is the URL for my blog in QR Code. I will certainly create the pattern for the right glove and knit and almost certainly want to wear. What started as a bit of a novelty has become quite a talking point.
