Notes

Done - they fit my taller daughter better than me so got somewhere to go! Onto the revised version now.

One done and tweaks for next pair:
Just a touch bigger throughout to aid putting on!
Will probably look better if the wrist is not too tight and fitted.
Review pattern placement - shorten lotus, start with scroll at cuff - easier then to shorten as can add or omit salt and pepper. Use the slightly larger scroll and work on a dark ground.
Review decrease placement - aim for uniform placement across the decrease rows then can more easily change position of start and end of rounds on glove without too much fiddling around with the chart.
Round join - work just the single specks along the join, not the paired ones on the lower section.
Think about a further smaller and easy to work motif for eventual thumb gusset and fingers - perhaps one that can replaces salt and pepper as well.
Did you know that the length of your lower arm is approximately the same as your foot size? Designing a longer glove - need to incorporate the ability to lengthen and shorten easily into the design.

Mughal mitt and long cuff confirm an ok length on first attempt - amazingly. Will finish this pair off with an asymmetric thumb as it is easy.

Test piece - never made a long glove so testing placement of decreases using as assortment of odds and ends. May not finish but should I decide to better choose odd’n’ends that have a chance of looking OK together.

Trefoil and vine - accordiding to Oxford Asian textiles group http://www.gutenberg.org/files/30025/30025-h/30025-h.htm#...

Fellow Raveler pointed this out - great detail on getting a decent fitting long glove.

Background colours - mineral heather and motifs in an assortment of sherbert colours.

Several false starts with motif tinkerings and colour changes before anything half decent emerged. This version can probably be turned into something wearable but need to play around with decrease placement a little and may rearrange patterns.
