Cream, Delta, Pimento, Ash and Tumeric - basically regal colours all from KnitPicks - cheap and cheerful for trying out ideas.

The first Warren Shortie suffered from sausage fingers - always a bit of a dilemma using fingering yarns, smaller needles and colour work to get a decent pattern. Whilst 2.25mm have been OK for the fingerless stuff I need a major rethink, so trying an even simpler pattern and 2.75mm. The colours are evocative of the real thing but much simplified!

First pair showing promise but could kick myself as the wrist bands do not match - missed out two rows of pattern. Would like to say it was intentional but a case off more haste less speed.

The thumb gusset also a little long and would benefit from shortening. Versions 3a and b address this.
