I followed letsgoblue’s cast on modification to eliminate the pucker at the center back of the top edge. :)

After waiting (and waiting and waiting!) for my replacement needles to come in, I had to wait an additional 2 weeks before being able to get back to knitting on this shawl due to family vacation and chauffeuring a friend that had corrective eye surgery.

I used this method for beading with dental floss (thank you, astropc!).

I went up to 261 stitches before starting the feather and fan section, like amyknittn.

I ran out of purple as a result, and didn’t have enough to do the border in the MC, even with having purchased an extra ball.

27AUG2013 - I was finally able to gift it to Kristin! :D It is a month and almost a half late, but she loves it! :D
