ik kom beter toe met de 37 cm dus ik zet op voor maat 36

hij trekt toch wat teveel in in S 36. breedte is 31 cm ongeblocked maar er zit niet veel ruimte in door de kabels.
dus de eerste minderingen maar overslaan. Het is ook waanzin, met naalden 2 mm breien voor 21 st/10 cm. Met sokkenwol.

achterkant wat korter maken (I’m short waisted) maar nog wel onder bil eindigend; wat minder flair in de voorpanden, die ook weer niet zó lang hoeven te worden als in het voorbeeld.

lengte rugpaneel voor schouderdelen: 46 ongerekt, 54 enigszins opgerekt. Eindigt op bil/staartbotje. Het is veel smaller dan per ontwerp maar dat brei ik straks in de breedte bij.
gewicht 80/81 gram.

RIGHT SIDE PANEL
length finished back panel = 47 cm. Picking up stitches over 30 cm, leaving 47 cm for arm hole.
ipv 80 neem ik 70 steken op, dat past beter bij de rowgauge/lengte van het achterpand.
Daarna moet ik snel meerderen om wel tot de goede stekengauge te komen: per 3 steken één steek meerderen ipv per 5 st.
dan kom ik op 92 ipv de 95 uit het patroon.
ik doe dit al tijdens het steken opnemen: ik neem verdraaid op en elke 3e steek Kfb.
smokkel er 3 bij.
Nu 95 steken op de naald, klaar voor row 2.

putting arm hole decreases one stitch extra away from the edge.
Doing waist increases and then holding the panel to my back, seeing if I like the position where they will be. They are a major shaping feature, they should be at the right spot.
They are. But a next time I would space them out a bit more, I don’t like the prmnnt ruffl

JOINING SHOULDER SEAM
somehow my sidepanel has a longer seam at the shoulder than the back panel. I do have 141 st on the needle but the shoulder seam is at least 33 st long.
I stitched them together temporarily to try it on for fit.
I think I’ll make the backpanel a bit longer and then make its shoulder part a bit broader too, so it fits the top of the side panel perfectly.

side panel piece has 33 st to be stitched to back panel.
backpanel has 85 st.
85 - (2x33) = 19 st bind off in the middle?
that’s a small neck… I’d be more comfortable with 1/3rds.
28 st for each shoulder panel and 28 st for the back of the neck. I’m going to go with that.

but first Left Side panel in exactly the same way as Right Side Panel.

50 rows of gather rather than the number the pattern states. The only bust adjustment I need.

icord bind off: because my yarn and needle differ so much in size from the pattern an icord bind off would not match the stretchyness of the fabric. I would have to incorporate shortrows in the icord.
Instead I do a rolling hem: two rows of stockinette stitch and a very loose bind off (WS)
280 grams of yarn used.

SLEEVE (SHOULDER CAP)
knit sleeves on bigger needles. 2,5mm

picking up stitches: 95 ipv 75 uit het patroon. Omdat ik het armsgat ook wat groter heb en een eerste poging met 75 een te krap mouwsgat gaf.
42 langs achterpand; 27 onderlangs (incl. schuine zijkanten)(3 per 4 rows; 26 voorlangs (1 voor elke steek/kolom).

knit as per pattern. The cabled stripe on the sleeve is not supposed to meet up with the shoulder seam of the bodice. Since this shoulder seam is placed in front of the mid shoulder line.

Sommigen neem ik verdraaid op, om de gaterigheid te minimaliseren. Maar niet onder het armsgat of in de schuine kantjes, die moeten onverdraaid opgepakt worden om de rand rekbaar te houden.
