Notes

Gauge: 22sts over garter stitch.
Vest in garter stitch, alternating the colours. I used the dark green for the knit rounds, the pale green for the purl rounds, which meant the dark green was the dominant colour. I much preferred it that way. It’s interesting the difference it makes if you use the light green for the knit rounds!

Neck: I worked a light green neckband (cast-on plus one ridge) and then started with the dk. green for the knit row, alternating with lt. green on the purl rows.

Sleeve cast-off: The last colour used on yoke was light green. I then cast off the sleeve stitches purlwise with the light green. I joined in a small amount of the lt. green at the underarms in order to do this.

All done, but waiting for an applique motif to arrive in the post…. As it turned out, I preferred a motif I bought in store to the one bought online. But the in store one is pink and green so would make this a girl’s vest, not a unisex one. Yet I don’t like the unisex motif’s effect as much. Will take pictures with both.
I’m leaving my options open for now about which motif to actually stitch on.

Total garment weight was 63gm. So if this was knitted in just the one colour it would take around 150 metres of wool. I used marginally more of the light green.
