Notes

Using Skinny Empire as the structure. I love the melding of the mohair and variegated muse; neither is too overpowering.

I frogged the S Charles Muse project http://www.ravelry.com/projects/solveiglaura/antipodes-4 and am doubling it with the mohair.

Cast on 10/50/10 to give it a nice low scoopy back, hardly increasing at all in the back along the raglan line. At least 8 sets of short rows over the shoulder to put more length on the shoulders and less on the back to shape the back scoop neck.

The combo looks really nice, with just a hint of fuzzy but not overwhelmingly. I like doubling a mohair with something else in a fingering or dk. (I’m going to combine some dark green Bungee with the Antique Kaleidoscope laceweight I got a while ago.)

Started Louisa lace on sleeves w/38 stitches on each sleeve. Separated at 54 st for sleeves and 65 for the back. Was at 60 for the front but that wasn’t enough, added 6 more.

Doing 8 sets of short rows over the bust.

At underbust line, switched to doubled Misti Alpaca for a couple rows, then added back in the Muse. You can see the effect in the pictures. Did that twice to get two lines.

Switched to a strand of the Misti with the muse for the rest of the body, and eyelet rib separated by 4 of stockinette. That’s a 9 repeat which will be easy to convert to Louisa at the bottom.

Will do icord neck in the doubled mohair or just the yarn as I’ve been knitting it. Edge sleeves same way.
