MODIFICATIONS

because i used fingering weight yarn and wanted it to be more of a scarf, i repeated the pattern as follows:
increase section: 9x
straight section: 15x
decrease section: 9x

also, for the decrease section, instead of k to last 3 sts, k2tog,k1 decreases, i used k to last 2 sts, ssk.
