Notes

funny that i thought that this colorway of four play was all greys when it’s clearly blue/black.

anyway, for vestvember i wanted to learn to do a top-down non-raglan knit. i looked it up in the barbara walker “knitting from the top” book and understand the basic principles but then found this pattern to get me started.

the pattern was very good and i really enjoyed doing this top down. i only made a few mods: made it longer, added in some short rows to make the front a little longer than the back, and did some 1x1 rib on the bottom instead of the recommended bind-off.

the brooks farm pooled HORRIBLY (and i’m usually ok with pooling) so i used the russian splice every few rows on the side to break up the pooling, and so that i wouldn’t have to weave in a lot of ends.
