Inspired by NJStacie’s batt-a-thon, I put together a little tutorial on how I card for progressions. You can read the whole thing here!
I’ve now spun the rolags and will probably Navajo-ply the singles.
3/25/12 - cast on (multiple times) for a Lacy Baktus.
3/27/12 - into the beige-y bits. Need to weigh the cake tonight to get a guesstimate for the halfway point.
4/1/12 - ripped back after weighing the cake and fearing that with more than a third of the knitting remaining, I might run out of yarn. Also had some fits and starts with the decreases as written:
knit until 3 sts left, k2tog, k1.
I didn’t like that the YO weren’t incorporated into the second half of the project, so instead I did this:
knit until 4 stitches remained, s1, k2tog, psso, yo, knit 1.
4/4/12 - The final 50 rows were plagued with doubt, frogging, and not a little wine. In the end, trust your ball, don’t try to do a wacky decrease, and just keep knitting. Done, blocked, and ready to wear!!!
