I realized that I’ve never actually made a pair of socks before (despite how many sock patterns I love). And since I have this super fantastic awesome and amazing yarn, I figure I should make something simple and basic that I can wear forever and ever.
So… this is my adventure in knitting socks!

I started swatching. The colors blend so nicely, but it’ll look a little different once I start the actual sock.

I’ve put this down for quite a while. I picked it back up today and realized that I didn’t account for the fact that I have large calves. The pattern size fits, but not quite how I want it to fit, so I frogged and started over.
I casted on 116sts (to accommodate 16” calves comfortably, I’m making the leg a bit longer than the pattern). I’ll need to figure out where to put in some decreases as I knit down to the ankle.
