My gauge on US4 needles ended up being 26 sts x 36 rows = 4”
I don’t think going up to a US5 will help, so I’m going to try a different set of US4 (metal instead of wood) to see if that makes any sort of different in the gauge.
UPDATE
Nope, my gauge on metal US4 needles was SMALLER than on wooden. I somehow fail to own any US5 needles, so I’m just going to go ahead with wooden US4s and call the gauge close enough. :)

I’m nearing the end of the 4th lace repeat and am starting to think I may need to break into a second skein of traveler. However, I’m also very tempted to just cut the lace section a repeat short. We’ll see.

Finished and blocked! I ended up only doing 4 repeats of the lace border (plus the final 4 rows) due to impatience and a fear of running out of yarn.
