Notes

I needed an ornament to take to a holiday party/ornament exchange party. I decided I would try and make an ornament instead of buying one. Found this pattern on Ravelry and then gave it a bit of my own spin. I used two colors for the bottom half of the ball and then a third color for the top part of the ball. I also used a sc chain to create the loop for hanging the ball.

I wasn’t able to cleanly sew together the top and bottom pieces. I tried to do several different kinds of single stitch and back stitches but it just didn’t look neat or clean. It was sloppy looking and bothered me. You can see a bit of the sloppiness in the last photo. I took a Christmas bead wreath and wrapped it around the center to hide the ugly sewing. I really like the finished product.
