Interesting and provides a bit of challenge. The whole beginning of side to side garter - with one little increase every 4th row - is approachable by a beginning knitter. The color changes provide interest during this portion of the pattern. The chart work requires more experience.

Then the fun challenge begins. Intarsia is worth the effort. Do not be tempted to strand the chart. Stranding will negatively impact the drape of the final fabric. Yes, there is a point where one is keeping track of nine bobbins. That was not my finest moment!

So glad that I worked through the tangled frustration.

PS - try not to drop a stitch. It requires the help of a yarn friend (or in my case a family member) to help control the stitches and encourage you.
