2/21 started the pattern to try out the nupps. Those little things are addictive! Finished the first section already!

2/22 Started 2nd repeat of the Instar stitch. I am up to 45 stitches per quarter. This section will end up with 71 stitches per quarter. Don’t want to put it down but I must. Workshop and dance today.

2/25 Finished Instar. I really love this pattern.
2/27 Started Cocoon stitch. This is a very easy section, able to work and chat but harder to hold interest. Time out for a quick garter project. Will get back to it soon.

Have to admit, I am beginning to worry about section 4 and the border. Pattern calls for 3 skeins of yarn. I am halfway through section 3 and have only used about half of the first one! That means a whole lot of knitting coming up!

Oops, haven’t updated in a while. First skein lasted to row 17 of the 4th section. Ram into a problem that I never did figure out somewhere around row 8. Tinked 2 rows (about a thousand stitches! ), handed it to Julie and she got me back on track.

3/21 Let the edging begin. Started out taking 40 minutes per repeat. There are sixty repeats. Getting slightly quicker but…

3/22 uh oh, baby shower is April 5th. Marathon knitting starting now.

3/31 Finally finished!! The edging took nearly 40 hours of knitting but the results…. wow! Love love love this blanket and hope that Megan and Henry will too!
