FINISHED!! LOVE IT! So pleased with this one - the fit, the colour, the style… Shoulder jigging worked fine and fits beautifully.
May 18 - First Sleeve Finished
May 21 - Second Sleeve Finished
May 22 - Cast on front and back in the round.
June 15 - Up to armholes with 2” added to overall length = 16” to underarms
June 28 - Back complete - rejoin yarn and start on front underarm shaping
July 1 - Fairisle started!!
July 1 evening - Fairisle finished!! Finished as instructions at Row 8 on green/orange. Rather than go straight to shoulder shaping, I’m going to put centre 41 stitches on holder. Then work either side of shoulders as follows with decreases at neck edge: BO on every row as follows: 4 sts once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st twice.
97 total stitches - 41 = 56 / 2 = 28 stitches for each shoulder…
11 stitches removed from centre, for 16 left. Cast off 8 on shoulder edge, then 8 on centre/shoulder to complete.
This should give a slightly lower, rounded neckline without itching and also help to accommodate bosom!
