A pretty pattern, but a few things were not perfect

• The pattern never mentioned needing a button. It makes a lot of sense of course, and you can figure it out as it tells you to make button holes, but nowhere does it say “you need x number of buttons”. Not even “sew buttons” in the finishing section
• There is a chart, but for some reason I could not make KnitCompanion work with it. I don’t know if the rows are uneven or what the problem really is, but I had to work from the written instructions instead. You can tell the pattern isn’t new since the now very standardised way of making charts was not used.
