Knit in an acrylic yarn that I had on hand. Damned yarn had a bit of fuzz to it, which made those drop-stitches rather annoying. Well worth the effort, though.

Update (2016): Ten years later and Ma still keeps this in the living room to ward off sudden chills. One of the better things I’ve ever knit, clearly!
