Notes

A cozy little pair of slippers for Mom from whom I inherited my cold feet. smile

These are incredibly well-fitted and cozy, and I will definitely knit a pair for myself once the temperatures start dropping again.

Notes:

  • Mom’s feet are Size 8 - the same as mine - but since my gauge was a bit smaller than the pattern gauge, I cast on for the largest size (9.25”). When I knit these again, I’ll likely go up a needle size.
  • Knit for 7” before starting heel shaping.
  • Used German Short Rows for the heel instead of wrap-and-turns, because it’s my preferred method of short rows.
  • I’m not buying any new yarn this year, so I used an old ball of Patons (mustard) for most of this project, then finished things up with a scrap of Vintage (aqua).
  • No tassels, because that’s just asking for a cat attack. smiley
