Update: Mom says that she receives “SO MANY” (her emphasis) compliments when she wears this to work! Her Instagrammed photos are kind of adorable, no?

Knit as an Xmas giftie for Mom. Lovely pattern, lovely yarn, lovely fit - I was so pleased with the end result, as was Mom. Hurrah!

Mods:

• Kfb is my increase of choice. For whatever reason, I decided that the sleeve increases should be knit as follows: kfb, k1, sm, k1, kfb. The end result is very…pronounced. Kind of wish I had left out those extra k1s, but c’est la vie.
• Extended length by sixteen rows (i.e., two additional increase sets).
• Knitting sleeves on Size 6 needles (versus Size 5), because…I don’t seem to own Size 5 DPN’s? Seems a good reason as any.
• Extending sleeves to 3/4 length, decreasing via a k2tog before the marker every ten rows.
• Knit hem and cuffs in twisted rib.

Notes:

• The body of this piece took a full two skeins. I didn’t realize that my third-and-final skein was more bronze than the two other skeins until I started knitting the sleeves - sigh. Again, as it was my third-and-final skein, I couldn’t alternate/blend the color, so the shift is more apparent than I’d like.
• This yarn is the most gorgeous yarn I have ever had the pleasure of knitting. I wish I could capture the depth of the color on-camera.
• The cardigan knit up way faster than my Ravelry time would lead you to believe; it just took me a few months to get it on the blocking board.
