2019 - the year of the staples! My closet has been in need of a rust-colored cardigan for years, so here we (finally) go.

This pattern is everything I want in a cardigan - and a near-twin to the mustard-colored one I’ve been happily wearing since the late 1990’s. Its construction is unique-to-me and just delightful; I’ve loved watching it transform from a vaguely uterus-looking thing into a proper cardigan.

Notes

• I prefer a loose upper-arm and didn’t start decreasing until several inches down the arm. In total, I completed four decrease rows before starting the cuff.
• I knit the cuff ribbing for sixteen rows.
• Used a normal cast-off versus tubular for no clear reason; it just turned out that way.
• Barely a half-yard remained after knitting this beast - woo!
• I blocked the FO on a mop handle supported by two clothes hangers suspended from the shower rod (pictured), which worked out rather well.

Update: Turns out that my skin is far, far, far too sensitive for this wool - so my husband has adopted this cardigan as his own. He loves it.
