My fantastico submission for the Holla Knits 2016 Accessories KAL. This was my third - and most successful - attempt at stranded colorwork.

Confessional: I stopped knitting ten rows shy of the pattern end, because OMG YOU GUYS, I hate stranded colorwork. It killed my will to knit; I could not go on. (Killed-will reflective of my own issues, not the pattern’s - I crazy-love the end result and regret not a single stitch.)

Another KAL’er suggested knitting the striped section on a smaller needle and is an obvious genius. I wish I had read her comment earlier.

2018 Update: In the two years since I knit this cowl, I have learned to love and seek out stranded colorwork. As for this particular item: It remains my winter-cowl-of-choice, and I get compliments nearly every time I wear it out.
