Quick and to-the-point lap blanket for my Grandfather, who was recently admitted to the nursing home. Cast on a whole mess-load of stitches (exact count lost to history), knit a few rows in garter, made contrasting squares of knits and purls while maintaining a garter edge…yep. That’s about it.

Knitting with Homespun is not exactly my favorite - it doesn’t slide off the needles as fluidly as I’d like - but you can’t argue with that wash-friendly, cushypants end result.

Update: Following Granddad’s passing, my mother took the blanket home; it still lives on her couch.
