Dad was the recipient of one of my earliest knitting projects - a hat made of cheap acrylic yarn. Having advanced in both skill and yarn selection, I’ve decided to give Dad’s noggin another go.

I cast on 89 (for 88) stitches in my initial attempt, but, when this proved even too small for my narrow-headed husband’s noggin, I frogged and recast 97 (for 96) stitches, instead.
