A holiday-gift-to-be for one of my co-workers.

Love the texture and geometry of this pattern - great visual impact for such a low-effort knit (i.e., it’s all knits and purls here, no cable needles required).

Mod: I wanted a deeper hat, so knit twelve rows of ribbing following the turning row, which turned out to be the perfect amount IMO.

As for the yarn: This may be a new favorite! Arbor is crisp yet soft, without the rustic woolen-scratchiness of BT’s other offerings. (I’m looking at you, Shelter.) No offense to said wooliness, which I love in theory; my skin is just a mite too sensitive for it.

Note to Future Self: When knitting this hat for Jason, eliminate the additional ribbing. Fits him great otherwise.

Update: My co-worker says that this is the best hat, and he never takes it off. Success!
