I joined Kirsten’s Summer Shawl KAL in June…the same month that we closed on our fixer-upper, commenced packing/moving/fixer-upping AND started planning our September (secret!) wedding. Suffice to say, progress was…erm, slow, and I missed the KAL deadline. But it wasn’t all for naught - at least I walked away with a cute li’l shawl.

Rowan’s 4-Ply won by default, as it was the only fingering weight yarn a) in my stash and b) in my UNPACKED stash. Note that three skeins is NOT enough for even the Medium-sized version! I bound off early and - in a photo finish - had to use the dangling thread from my cast-on to make it to the final stitch.

Update: Finally got around to blocking said shawl almost two-years-to-the-day later. Hooray!
