Were it not for the fact that this shawl is being knit for a friend as a bridal shower present - per her specific pattern request - I would buy her a gravy boat from Williams-Sonoma, instead, and keep said shawl for myself. Sigh.

The yarn is fantastic and I look forward to buying a million more balls of bamboo-soy-luciousness. (Oh, be still my vegan heart!) The pattern is pretty great, as well. I went down a few needle sizes, as the Sojabama has a smaller gauge than the suggested yarn. I eliminated the s2kp2 over the shoulder stitch (Row 27) and replaced it with “ssk, yo, k1 (shoulder stitch), yo, k2p”, because the s2kp2 didn’t line up as neatly as I would have liked.
