Notes

The sibling nabbed my copy of “Fitted Knits” a few weeks ago and, after careful inspection, requested the Long Coat w/ Chevron Lace for Xmas. Said I (already burdened by an epic knitted gift queue): “Think smaller.” She countered with the Bluebell Sweater. Said I: “Mo’ smaller.” Negotiations ensued and, several minutes later, she made her peace with the Ribbed Shrug of Destiny.

(In my defense, said sibling is a frequent recipient of knitted gifts and has no room for complaint.)

My shoulder-to-shoulder width measured in at 18”; the end result is a bit loose, implying that I could have gone down a size. Cut down the amount of ribbing - both at the cuffs and around the neck - as a personal preference. Cascade’s Pima Tencel is one of my favorite yarns and works very well with this pattern.
