The Good: Incredibly fast project with an easily memorized lace pattern. It knit up over the course of a week’s commute and would have been a FO much earlier, were it not for my dislike of seaming. The pattern is well written and, although oddly unflattering on my mannequin, seems like a vest that would be cute on someone with arms.

The Less-Good: I neglected to read other knitters’ notes before picking up stitches for the ribbing, so the end result kinda scrunched/curled at the bottom front. To rectify this, I picked up stitches all along the hemline (both lace and ribbing) and knit two rows of moss before casting off, which evened out the bottom rather neatly (see last photo). Were I to knit this again, I definitely would have edged the ribbing in moss as recommended by other Ravelers.

I Have Only Myself to Blame: Wound in a skein, this color looked appropriately green and Springy. Knit up? Kind of…dour. Again, final judgment will be cast when Mom actually receives and tries it on.

Update: It fits! And she likes it! Modeled photos taken in December 2015; it held up well!
