Of the fifteen-odd projects cast on this year, five have been from Caitlin’s patterns - which should tell you how much I love her aesthetic. This particular pullover was cast on mere hours after the pattern went live using some old MadTosh stash.

Assorted notes:

• Thought the neckline knit up a bit small on Size 4 needles, so frogged and committed to knitting the entire sweater on Size 6.
• The colorway is Dachshund, so it seemed fitting to title the project after my childhood doxie, Rudolph.
• Alternated skeins, as two of them were brown-dominant and two were purple-dominant. Regardless, the sleeves still look browner than the rest of the jumper - c’est la vie.

Update: Ultimately, I decided that I didn’t like the fit of this one and attempted to salvage it by a) extending the sleeves to wrist-length and b) ripping the body back to the armpits, knitting a few increase rows (for a looser fit) and extending the overall length. It helped, but not enough to justify this pullover’s existence. Completely frogged in February 2019.
