aaaaand, he’s done it again. love the woven-like texture. one skein came from the birthday paris trip with the mrs., and i luckily got a second from a destash on ravelry! convenient timing for the sweetgeorgia kal.

30.1.14 - started! it’s coming along pretty quickly already. i’m using my destashed skein from another ravelry user first, so that the leftover yards are from the paris skein. there’s a definite difference between the dye lots (even for a hand painted), but i think that with this project it’ll be fine.

5.2.14 - so after some mad knitting and about 4 hours to do the picot edge bind-off, it’s done. right now without blocking it’s looking a bit ruffly, but i’m excited to see what it looks like tomorrow. hoping it’s dry in time for a meeting!

6.2.14 - one of the things i love about blocking lacy shawls is that they get stretched so much, they dry almost instantly. it was perfect for the meeting, and i’m totally in love. even though i don’t normally wear such bright colours. it’s perfect :)
