She is using acrylic yarn because I had a lot in the basement that people give me but I never use. she also is using worsted weight instead of sock yarn. so she is knitting real tight to keep gauge which makes for a real dense thick fabric. her first attempt at fair isle not bad over all just not how I would do it. but then she is doing it on her own and did not ask my advice. I have given her some as she has worked on it and she was glad for it as she was confussed on a few things but trial and error are how we learn. She has finished the first one fits her perfectly she is on to the second glove
