Notes

These two yarns were both single-skein gifts from the same person. I decided to have some fun striping them and also to play with a simple fair isle pattern for the hat. The pattern was easy to follow and a very quick knit.

For the scarf I simply cast on 20 and worked in K1 P1 ribbing, switching yarns every second row and slipping the first of stitch of every row. I then added the knitted flowers just for the hell of it.

I’m pleased with the results - after a wash and a block the hat and scarf are are both very soft. I blocked the hat on a balloon.

I’m slightly obsessed with pom poms at the moment and could not resist adding them to the hat. What 6-year-old girl would reject pom poms?
