Two versions of the same dress chart. What a difference color can make! I call it a Hydrangeas dress since I used colors reminiscent of my dried hydrangeas.

The dusty mauve dress was knit using various shades of fingering weight yarn from The Wool Barn using a 2.25mm needle. My apologies for not keeping better track of color names.

The second dress was knit in the shades of Knit Picks Palette listed aboveusing a 2.5mm needle.

This dress begins with a cast on of 92 stitches which are reduced to 90 on row 11 of the chart. The extra two stitches are needed to maintain the alternating check pattern under the flowers.

I used a long tail cast on of 92 stitches. The first 5 rows are garter stitch done on straight needles before joining in the round on row 6. (The long tail cast on is row 1.) Next, I did 24 repeats of the of the first chart pictured on the left then 16 repeats of the flower chart. On row 11 on the second chart, I knit together the first two stitches and the last two stitches of the row.

The Peter Pan collar is from the Textured Dresses pattern by Julie Williams. I used Aunt Lydia’s #10 Cotton crochet thread in white and a 2.5mm hook.

On the dusty mauve dress, I did the dress cast on with the color I intended to use for the crochet hem. Using a 2.25 hook and fingering weight yarn work along the cast on bottom edge of the dress starting at the back seam…slip stitch in first stitch, skip one, single crochet 4 stitches in next stitch, skip one stitch, slip stitch in next….repeat to end.

The bunny was knit on 2.75mm neeedles using Sublime extra fine merino DK in caramel.
