Who can resist that face? That hat? That round kitty body?

This cat definitely embodies the mood of the moment during this lockdown.

I used all DK weight yarn for Labby. If I were to knit him again, I would try a 2.75mm needle for the last 6 rows of the hat rather than a 3.00mm just to make it smaller. I also decided to skip the vest called for in the pattern. I did overstuff him a bit….we’ll both work on losing our extra stuffing after the quarantine is over.

I also worked on slightly adjusting the angle of the eyelids with needle and yarn after the eyes and stuffing were in place.

The pattern is detailed with many helpful photographs. And the designer answered any questions I had which is always appreciated. I rated the difficulty as medium. Having experience knitting, stuffing and sewing animals was a great help.

The small bunnies were not happy to wake up and see an angry cat in their midst. Hence the Gulliver’s Travels scenario.
