Notes

Selecting yarns. Not much Dk in this stash, it is either lace weight, fingering or much thicker. Which could be held double. But…the pattern nudged me into remembering some nice hand spinning efforts a few years back, so I went and dug up a fibre memory from 2010 bought at SOAR, turned into hand spun yarn. 800 metres 3ply Dk, Louet Karaoke Black Tiger, 50 Merino, 50 Soysilk, and then there is a Pidgeon Roof Fibres 3ply called Filigree, more blue green lilac, but subtle, one of those fibres you love the colours as a fibre that then upon spinning morphs into many more shades once spun. Also Dk, with a sheen, bamboo, silk and merino. Found a stash entry for it, must have been spun here in Adelaide though, no yardage recorded either but there are a few skeins for sure. So, combo, possibly subtle stripes, possibly a wee bit stripey like a gradient. Time will tell.

updated instructions down loaded. V2 under way. Still mulling over morse codes and striping/colouration.

Making an XL. So, knitting away. We boarded the India Pacific train from Perth today, heading home to Adelaide. So, knitting away, hoping to make great strides. It will be the Karaoke Black Tiger until the yoke is split for arms and body, which’ll allow me to gage what goes where. Got plenty of the PGR yarn.
Decided to do random purls. My code is random (probably a very fitting choice for me)!

Started with the blue green, chugging away, XL takes time. Colours, purls, all look awesome!
V3 downloaded.

Hurrying with the last stitches. Option 4 for the neck, just the last bit to the finish!

Ok, YES! Done! Total weight, 556 grammes, all handspun. I used Louet Karaoke as the top/main colour, was left with a measly 39 gramme ball out of 450 grammes; 411 grammes used.
Pidgeon Roof Studios Filigree; used 145 grammes.
Both yarns similar wpi, so approximately 990 meters used.

Finished project, but unblocked photos taken only, just need to give sweater a bath!

I have virtually been living in this sweater since it was finished. Still no bath, more photos here
