CO 36 pairs of sts, knit 8 rounds. Increase 12 pairs of sts over 2 rounds for a total of 48 pairs of sts.

Begin working chart at round 9 (three repeats of the snowflake each round).

Once you’ve finished the colourwork and get to the 8 rounds of ribbing (stockinette in my case), every second round work symmetric decreases at the start and end of each half of the stitches for a total of 4 decreases per round until 40 stitches remain.

Switch to 4.0 mm needles to knit the last stockinette round, then bind off using slip-stitch BO.
