I used worsted weight cotton yarn and a modified version of the pattern. I worked rounds 1 and 2 as written and then skipped to round 6 working the shells and single crochets in the ch2 spaces around for a total of 8 shells.

I’m guessing as to the exact yarn that I used since it is yarn that I received from someone else’s de-stashing efforts and there was no label. The yardage is the total for all three coasters.
