i’ve never really known plastic chairs to be well behaved. they are more likely to be tipped at awkward angles ready to capsize or collecting rain water waiting for the first passerby who forgets to look before sitting. pretty sure i once heard a plastic chair snicker to itself when it caught me.
april 6th: finally good pics of the vines and leaves. a grey day, but bright grey. i actually got these pics taken just before the downpour began. whew. just made it inside in time.
march 25th: done! the light for taking pics was poor today, but i got one decent shot of the embellishments. will try for a few more tomorrow.
march 16th: down to the finishing touches. look out leaves and vines. here i come to prune and shape you…
march 15th: wow, i’m so impressed by yuvee’s construction of this chair! when the knitting’s done there’s only one (15st) seam to sew up. all the shaping is done with decreases in the middle leaving no edges to finish. i love it!
march 14th: the back is done. after ‘test sitting’ decided that the seat and where you lean your back will be straight stockinette st instead of the random cables (they were just too lumpy for good sitting in my opinion).
march 9th: finished ‘shining around’, the sun pillow. am in the process of having it test knit now and will put it up as a ravelry pattern when that’s done. and my pile of leaves is growing…
march 6th: yup, definitely a sun and leaves. still up in the air about blossoms. i broke my old sz 19 circulars, so i spent today playing with the other pieces to decorate the chair. fun.
march 4th: just knit the first of many cables. i intend for them to float about a bit so as not to line up in neat rows (like most better behaved cables do).
planning to go all out and add vines and leaves. a garden chair. maybe a sun will be called for, or blossoms.
