I don’t have this pattern so I just improvised:

• CO 72 sts
• R1 and all odd rows: purl, placing marker in middle (after 36 sts)
• R2 and all even rows: knit until 2 sts before marker, ssk, slip marker, k2tog, knit to end

After 3 decreases I change colors (always on an even row)

I’m planning to make a stroller blanket out of this, so I think I’ll need 16 squares altogether .. not sure what to do about the border, though, I still have to think about it.

19/07 - All 16 squares done and blocked. Will seam everything together tonight. For the border I think I’ll do a 5 stitch i-cord, let’s see if that works well

20/07 - Done ! The i-cord edge was going to take forever, so I opted for 5 rows of single crochet instead
