Notes

Good short row practice on head/body piece. Appendages easy & basic. But I think I probably overstuffed the little guy’s arms, as well as made them a little too long. That is why his name is Buffy :) Of course Levy can call him whatever he wants.

I noticed that other Ravelers who knitted this squirrel gave him an acorn to hold. I did too. I used Lesley Stanfield’s Acorn pattern, which I had knitted before. Not only did this give the longish squirrel arms something to hold, but it also balanced him out. The acorn can rotate in his paws, and can be lifted up to his mouth as if to nibble.

Making the tail was a riot! Loved it. It’s really fluffy and fun. What a great idea!!!

Embroidered eyes and nostrils with black embroidery floss.
