I made numerous adaptations (simplifications) to the pattern to get him to more closely resemble Mr. Conductor of Dinosaur Train, one of my grandson Levy’s favorite characters. Instead of bi-color, one color. Made neck and tail a little longer. Omitted fan, teeth, side claws, and foot bottoms.

I put his legs on backwards, with the knees bulging towards the back not the front. This helped to stabilize him as well, with his legs and tail acting like a tripod so that he can sit down without falling over.

I used pipe cleaners in his arms, legs, and neck in an effort to add a little flexibility, but I’m not sure it made that much difference.

I added a cap and waistcoat which is Mr. Conductor’s usual outfit. (Cap and waistcoat are listed as separate projects, and are adaptations of doll clothes patterns found on Ravelry.)

I was completely delighted with how he turned out!!!
