Notes

I’ve wanted a Sweet Dreams for myself for a while, and so I finally decided to just make one already.

I opted for all lace, in an acrylic because I wanted something I could not have to block all the time and could throw on with jeans and a tee.

By 3 repeats in on the lace chart, I was despairing of getting it done in time for an event I wanted to attend.

And that’s when I had my epiphany - I always wear my shawls as a scarf, largest/deepest part in front, tails around my neck and to the front.

Since I have huge tracts of land, I’m always fussing with where the tails cup, and if I tie them underneath the front of the shawl then I’m just one massive boob shelf and it’s really not flattering.

So I transitioned into the edging, and wound up with a perfect length scarf that I can pin at the back of my neck, still get the effect in front, and have no bulk added.

Hence the Sweet Dreams, Naptime Edition :P

For the edging, I crocheted it - slip stitch to bind off one, chain one, repeat.

This allowed the scarf to be blocked without forcing me to stay up until 5am the morning of my trip to finish it.

Bev’s patterns are always a pleasure to knit, and this one was no exception.

It didn’t take overly long to knit it, I just have ADD and worked on at least 5 other projects during that time.
