I loved this pattern, and needed an excuse to make it.

So I scaled it down by using worsted and a size 6 needle, and made a toy for my cats.

Decided to use yarn in rainbow colours for the mane and tail, since my girls like yarn better than ribbon.

You’ll notice they are both still a bit uncertain about it…it takes them a week or so to accept new toys. ;-)
