It turns out exactly how I wanted it. Really VERY pleased with this vest cardi. I’m sure it will get a lot of wear.

:: Tried out with 64 sts and found that the bottom was not pointy enough; the kfb and pfb rendered a puckered edge.

:: Frogged and started with 54sts and increased to 110 sts. Increased with backward loops as instructed in the pattern and the edge curves beautifully.

:: Split - 23/64/23, knit the back for 50 rows, and the two fronts for 39 rows to make the back neck a bit higher; picked up each sleeve 60 sts.

:: Picked up 260 sts for the body edge. Decreased 2 sts in the first knit round of the back neck.

:: Picked up the side at the ratio of 2 sts for 3 rows and then every row for the corners and the bottom.

:: Increased the upper corners every 4th row, 2 sts for the 1st inc round and 3 sts thereafter. Increased the lower corners at the same rate but 2 sts for all inc rounds.
