I’ve made Anne Hanson’s socks before, and this was a great first experience with making a fitted sweater. And it DOES fit… I can button it and the button band doesn’t gap, but I used Susan Bates stitch markers to make my Dorset buttons, and they are not the sturdiest things in existence.

Pattern mods - I’m short-waisted, so I took 2” off the fronts and back between the bust and the shoulder. I used the tutorial and formulas in the book Knitting Plus to recalculate the sleeve cap shaping to fit the new armholes. I also took an inch off the arm length, and grouped the last series of arm increases to occur soon after the elbow, so this close-fitting sleeve wouldn’t pull tight over my upper arms. (Total arm width at the top worked for me, but big girls, ymmv.)

I’ve been spinning, knitting socks, etc in addition to this project, but just found out that Anne Hanson will be teaching in my city in a month, so I became monogamous to get this done in time. (Finished in the wee hours of the morning the day of my classes.)

Cast on just in time for 7 hrs of championship football tomorrow. :) Swatch has been done but unwashed/unblocked since before Christmas.
