The Fall 2019 KAL is a Brioche Explosion from Stephen West. This is a purely fun and social KAL for brioche lovers! That means no class fees! This shawl is cascading brioche with a few purely Stephen touches. Monster increases create a seeming brioche explosion. Typical for Stephen West, the pattern is straight-forward and easy to follow…..but it is a whole-lotta brioche!

Suriously Holey uses 650 yards each of 2 different colors. I teamed up with local dyer Yarn Experiments, and we created some fun bundles of contrasting colors which I am holding for just this project. You are welcome to use stash yarns and I am also available to help you build a kit from your stash.

K.T. will be leading this KAL. In the first KAL meeting K.T. will review the pattern lay-out, a brioche refresher and the stitch techniques in the pattern. The second meeting will be social and to show off your pieces and we can set future social knits as we go! This a big wrap……so no deadlines and we keep it fun.

Skills required:

• cast on, bind-off
• knit, purl and basic increases and decreases
• using more than one yarn at a time
• brioche experience

Materials for workshop:

• Color A - 650 yards, Color B – 630 yards Both fingering weight yarn

• 5 47” or longer needle

• Suriously Holey pattern $8 on Ravelry (and I can do that for you if you need me to)
