Feb. 20 - Finally finished, after a few months of hibernation. I had about half the edging done when I discovered a huge number of mistakes, too big to just let it go. So I ripped it out and started over again. This time, there’s still one mistake, but I wasn’t about to rip back a whole side of the edging to fix it. Nobody who doesn’t know the pattern and isn’t looking far too closely at the shawl will notice the difference. >_> I will probably block it tomorrow, curious to see how big it will turn out. It’s about 40” x 40” right now, and if I block aggressively it should grow quote a bit.

Aug. 25 - AHAHAHA. To think I was worried about it being too small. I finished the inner square today, and it is about 32” x 32” unblocked. The pattern states 27.5” x 27.5” blocked. So, uh, yeah, nothing to worry about there. #wedontneednostinkingauge

The pattern recommends 3.75mm needles, but I’m going with my lace default and sticking with the 3.5mm. Once I get to the center of the middle square, I’ll check to see if I need to make it larger to compensate for the smaller needles.

Here’s hoping that this time, I can actually finish a project with this yarn, as it seems to be the sure way to guarantee a long hibernation and/or frogging.
