Great pattern for dragons, made for Nerd Wars and as brainstorming for a story.

Violet Baudelaire of A Series of Unfortunate Events is crackerjack inventor at fourteen (aka a wrench wench) and a classic steampunk heroine. She takes excellent care of her younger brother Klaus and her infant sister Sunny, so she’s made Sunny a mechanical dragon pull toy named Nelson to make her laugh. Nelson is also educational because he’s clutching a tiny, screaming, golden-haired princess, so whenever Sunny plays with him, Violet whispers, “Be the dragon, not the princess, Sunny!”
Note: Nelson rolls because I glued his butt to a hot wheels car; the crocheted wheels are just for show.
Wheels:
Ch 5 with copper Glamour, join in a ring.
Ch 6, dc in ring, ch 3 five times, join with sl st to top of ch 3.
Working over piece of worsted weight yarn, ch 1 sc in ea dc, 4 sc in ea ch 3 space six times, slip stitch to ch 1
Sl st in each st around.
Change to silver Glamour, sc in ea st around.
Sew to curtain ring to stablize, put barrel bead in center.
Notes:
I can’t remember if I used the Glamour doubled or not, but I think I did.
Nelson’s arms are made the same as his feet.
I wired EVERYTHING including the scales/fins/whatever down his back.
His collar is a silver ponytail band. Scales are #6 lock rings.
Screaming princess is a bead with a skirt, basically, plus ch st out/sc back arms.
