Notes

The yarn was purchased a few years ago with the intention of becoming a remake of my Sweater Shawl from the Andrea’s Shawl pattern since my puppy chewed it up in a fit of loneliness. Instead, I thought I’d start anew and landed on another lovely pattern by Kirsten Kapur. I was a little worried that the size difference would have an undesirable effect but the two yarns knit up incredibly soft and light and it’ll be a terrifically wearable wrap for cooler days.

Mods

  • Skipped the MC cast on in favor of CC cast on

  • The pattern calls for a fingering weight yarn but I used the Noro Silk Garden for my CC and the Manos del Uraguay Clara for the MC which were worsted and sport weights, respectively.

  • Ran out of yarn for the final edging in CC so I bound off on the second row (the one right after the K3tog’s and YO’s) but I think it looks better this way since the CC is in a heavier weight

  • Using a size 8 needle I still have a few yards of the MC leftover and as noted above, just barely ran out of my second skein in the CC
